My grandfather, Lorenzo Marcantonio, came across from Picinisco in the 1880s and originally settled in Edinburgh helping a lot of Italians to get settled in Scotland. My father was born there in 1904 the 3rd youngest of a very large family – I’ve attached a photo of both Grandma ( from Villa Latina) and Grandpa along with 5 generations down to my eldest grandson. Michael Vacca has been very helpful in us tracing the family back to 1550. Recently I also sent off my cheek scrapings to Alasdair MacDonald at scottishancestry.com
