Cesidio Di Ciacca left Picinisco on 26 January 1920 to come to Scotland, where some of his family members had already established businesses in Cockenzie, close to Edinburgh.

Cesidio Di Ciacca, left Picinisco on 26 January 1920 to come to Scotland, where one of his sisters (Annunziata), his brothers (Luigi, Gerardo and Vito), and a cousin (Ernesto) had already established businesses.
His wife, Marietta Di Ciacca, born in London, but brought up in Picinisco arrived to join him in Cockenzie with their first two children, Lena and Johnny, on 23 March 1921. Anna and Alex were born within 2 years. Cesidio and Luigi’s son, Aristide, were both lost on the Arandora Star.
